Diospireiro de fruto de sabôr a chocolate
The Chocolate Persimmons are highly sought after fruits, with subtle notes of chocolate flavor when ripe, as all persimmons, are rich in carbohydrates, vitamins A and C, and potassium. They also contain calcium, phosphorus and sodium. Persimmons in general have been shown to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits.
Chocolate persimmons can be eaten firm but they are truly at their best when ripe when they become tender and juicy. Of course, tender-firm they can be eaten fresh out of hand, added to cold appetizers and salads, used as a topping in pizza, pies, tarts and even ice cream. Once they have fully ripened they can be a principle ingredient in jams, conserves, compotes and mostardas.
